The COVID-19 Pandemic has created an unprecedented situation for everyone at Science Quest, in the Kingston Community, and around the world. During this difficult time, Science Quest remains committed to maintaining the health and safety of our campers, staff, and the surrounding community.
Given the current public health environment and challenges presented by physical distancing, Queen’s University has made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person youth camps for the summer of 2020. Their official statement is available HERE.
As a result of this new development, Science Quest will be unable to operate our camps this summer. This decision comes at a difficult time when many families are trying to make plans for the summer and organize childcare. Although this has deeply saddened our staff, who were looking forward to a full summer of exciting camps, we also recognize that Science Quest has a responsibility for the health and safety of our community.
For those who have already registered and paid for our camps, a full refund will follow within the next two weeks. We will also send a confirmation email once the refund has been processed. If you have any concerns or questions regarding the refund process, please contact email@example.com.
In the face of these unprecedented times, Science Quest is still committed to provide educational STEM content to youth in the Kingston community. As such, we are currently switching our efforts to preparing online resources, videos (check out our first COVID-19 Online Workshop!), and more for our families and youth! Please stay tuned, as we will be sending out information as to what will be offered very soon!
Thank you all for your patience throughout this evolving situation. This too shall pass, and we are already looking forward to seeing you all again next summer! Stay safe and check back for our online content coming soon! You can also join our mailing list for all future updates regarding online content by clicking HERE.
