In Kinder Creators, we use engaging experiments to spark exploration and interest in important scientific topics. Topics are age-appropriate and based off of the Grade 1 Ontario Science Curriculum, so campers can learn while having fun!

In Junior Thinkers, we expand our thinking to connect science to real world implications. Topics are age-appropriate and based on the Grades 2 and 3 Ontario Science Curriculum, so campers can learn while having fun!

In Engineering Science & Tech Camp, we use the engineering design cycle and hypothesis testing to deeply understand scientific topics. Topics are age-appropriate and based off of the Grades 4 - 8 Ontario Science Curriculum so campers can learn while having fun!

Robotics Camp allows kids to learn everything they would ever want to know about the world of robots! Campers will learn all about the coding, building, and energy required for a robot to work. Working with Science Quest’s variety of robots such as Jade robots, Lego Mindstorms, Spheros, Ozobots, MicroBits, and our EV3s, campers have the chance to explore how robots work.

Calling all aspiring female scientists in grades 4-8! Dive into the wonders of science with our revamped summer camp designed exclusively for girls. Explore a new realm of science every week as we embark on an exciting journey of discovery! From biology to chemistry to physics and more, each session promises captivating experiments and hands-on learning experiences. Engage with inspiring female mentors from Queen's University throughout the week! Our activities are crafted and led by talented female students, offering you a unique opportunity to learn from the best. Immerse yourself in thought-provoking talks and workshops led by female researchers, design teams, and science clubs at Queen's University. Get ready to be inspired by their stories and insights. Join us this summer for an empowering adventure of exploration, learning, and fun at Girls' Quest!

Camp Schedule & Themes

This year, Science Quest has organized its themes a little bit differently. All five camps will share a theme each week, and there will be four themes in total.

The activities run at each camp will explore the weekly theme at a scope consistent with their age level and curriculum. These activities will cover a variety of topics, such as civil and mechanical engineering, chemistry, coding, earth science, aerodynamics, cryptography, psychology, biology, material science, and more! We aim to bring our campers on a quest, exposing them to a larger variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) topics.

Please note that all camps will be exploring coding. All Senior camps (Engineering Tech and Science, Girls Quest, and Robotics) will have some time in the computer lab, but Robotics will have significantly more dedicated time with robots and coding. At the same time, our Kinder Creators and Junior Thinkers will be exploring the idea of coding and algorithms with hands on activities, but will not be coding at a computer.

Have you ever wondered how humans first made it to the stars? How rockets and their code are designed? How you might one day develop a habitat on Mars? How to become an astronaut? Do all of this and more, with Space Quest!

Have you ever wondered why we build things like we do? Why bridges and buildings are able to withstand high winds? How a chemical reaction or a mechanical movement can turn into power, enough for a whole city to live off of? City Quest aims to answer all of these questions and more, everything to do with urban engineering design!

Have you ever wondered how animals, including us humans, explore the worlds oceans? How submarines are designed to withstand high pressures? How sonar allows us to navigate at great depths? How plants and animals evolve to the needs of their environment? Journey to great depths in Ocean Quest!

Have you ever wondered how codes to send secret messages are created as well as solved? How forensic science helps to solve crimes? How the specialized gadgets, cars, and lairs in your favorite spy cartoons are made? Investigate these and more in Spy Quest!

Each day, camp is run from 9:00am to 4:00pm. You will recieve an informational Pre-Camp Package via email in the week prior to your camp, providing all of our important safety, logistical, and instructor information!
